A Broken Future: Pleasure, Money, Power, and Longevity are gods

Perhaps we think that the future for the generations to come and our current youth will be bright and beautiful. I disagree. The world is moving in a direction of haphazardness and chaos. The future of the young is worrisome and unpredictable. Why?

The answer in short is: God is not the center of our existence.

The way I see it is that future generations will care mostly about these four things:

  1. Pleasure
  2. Money
  3. Power
  4. Longevity in the flesh to keep getting pleasure, money, and power.

Our generation is setting the stage for a perfect storm of immorality and complete destruction of the human race. The youth and the future generations will suffer greatly because of what we are doing now. We are setting the stage for them to only focus on those four things and forget who they are.

The idea of death will be absent from their minds because Satan is now, as we speak, planting a seed in the minds of people that humans can become immortal in the flesh. There is no doubt that humans have dabbled in the thought of wanting to be immortal. If one looks at the fictional stories of vampires and zombies, you would see support for my point. I recently saw a commercial of a movie where the hero brought back his wife and kids from the dead! Also, science is now working at improving the length of life and not just the qualify of life. Man wants to beat God by attempting to beat death, because until now death seems like the thing that no one can beat. The unfortunate reality for those who think that humans in the flesh can be immortal is that death is inevitable. One can even say that death is the uttermost mysterious thing that humans cannot and will never be able to control.

Not only will the idea of death be absent from the minds of the future generations, despite death being one of the most blazingly bright realities we have, but also God (who is the true Life) will become completely forgotten. Of course, I do NOT want this to happen, but the way that things are moving now, I am worried. I already see the decline in the knowledge of God in my generation, so what will happen in the generations to come? Forgetting God is forgetting Life. God is Life. When we focus on wealth, power, pleasure, and physical longevity, we will inevitably lose sight of who God is. We will lose sight of life and we will become nothing better than dead people walking!

So, as we try to escape death of the flesh, we actually trap ourselves further into a coffin of spiritual death while still breathing by: forgetting God.

The price of going after everything that is not God will soon become very expensive. I am not just talking about the price one could pay in eternal damnation in hell, although that is a very expensive price to pay for a lifetime of immorality and rejecting God. I am talking about unnecessary suffering here on earth. While on earth, we will see people killing each other for pleasure, money, power, and longevity. Wait…we ALREADY see all of that happening almost everywhere in the world. Yet, although now some of these horrible atrocities might seem horrible and atrocious, to the future generations, a numbing process is already in place to program them to think that all of this is normal.

Rapes, beheadings, manslaughter, discrimination, racism, thievery, corruption, lying, hate, beatings, abuse, mockery, murders of children and infants, abortions …

These are only some of the things that are beginning to seem like the usual things that humans do. To the younger generations, extensive numbing is happening through the media and every venue of delivering information to them. This numbing process will only end up with more rapes, beheadings, etc…

The great Saint Antony did not lie when he said:

“A time is coming when men will go mad, and when they see someone who is not mad, they will attack him, saying, ‘You are mad; you are not like us.’”

The normal is becoming iMmorality. The abnormal is being Morality. You are labeled as mad if you are moral and if you believe in God. Believing in God and living according to His commandments is becoming “Closed-Mindedness.” Not believing in God and not living according to His commandments is becoming “Enlightenment.”
