Are fear and anger first cousins?

Have you ever noticed that behind every angry person’s screams and violence that is a little scared child inside???

I think that whenever we get angry, the deeper wound we are experiencing is fear. We fear losing our jobs. We fear losing our health. We fear losing our families. We fear being wrong and losing our image. We fear…we fear…we fear…

To cover this fear and hide as though it is unseen by others, we get angry. We may get angry at others or situations, but mostly, I think we get angry at ourselves. We are angry because we might lose something. And, we are angry because we feel helpless. And, we are angry because we cannot stop being afraid. What…are we still scared little children inside?

*sigh*
