My humans! They are to die for! ~ Jesus (may have) said

If you have been following my blog, you would have an idea by now as to how I see God as my Father. I do and I always will see God is my Father, as He is everyone’s Father. God adopted me as His daughter through the blood of Christ and the restoration that I received through the Cross, Christ’s death, resurrection, and ascension.

Yet, this is not the whole story. God is not just my Father. God is also my King. He is the King of the whole world. He is mighty and powerful and amazing. Jesus Christ is King of kings. Jesus IS King. On the Cross, Christ was labeled as “King” as a way of making fun of Him. The irony though is that the label placed on the top of the Cross was most accurate. Christ is King over His people. His people are the whole world. Those who reject Him reject being His children and under His care. That is their choice and does not change the fact that Christ died for the WHOLE entire world to find eternal life and inherit the eternal Kingdom of Heaven.

Jesus IS King.

There are actually no words to describe Christ as King – at least none that I can use. He is that amazing! When we think of earthly kings, we usually think of oppression. Or, we might think of prestige, a castle, gold, and servants. We might think of pampering or even slaves.

But, Jesus Christ is a different kind of King. He is the kind of King that goes to the trial instead of you. He dies on your behalf so that you may live. He is the kind of King who does not worry about His reputation or His fame. He does not try to prove to you that He has power, and believe me, He has power! He is not the kind of King who might oppress you. He is not a King who takes advantage of the weaknesses of others nor is He a King who makes others feel inferior to Him.

He is a wise King. He is a loving King. He is a self-sacrificing King. HOW? How could the King of all kings, the One made the whole world, the One who has the most amount of power and might, and the One who deserves all reverence and worship sacrifice Himself for His children? How could this ever make sense? I don’t think it can make sense to our limited physical human minds.

I look around at the world and I see human life treated as though it is nothing. People are becoming less and less valuable. People are dying every day and every where because of the evil that has taken hold of other people. Yet, for God, for my King – Jesus Christ – human life is way too precious to be simply lost to death. God was not pleased that we, His children and His creation, would be lost to eternal death. So, He fixed it. He fixed the problem of death. He fixed our eternal doom and made it an eternal joy. He fixed it!!!

God accepted utter humiliation for our sake. Yes, my sin is what led Him to the Cross, but God’s love for me and for all mankind is what kept Christ on the Cross until death. Instead of dying first and then rising from the dead, couldn’t Christ have just avoided death altogether? He could have because He is the most powerful of all, even against death. Yet, HE CHOSE TO DIE for us. He chose to die so that we may live through His resurrection and ascension. He loved us THAT much. We are worth dying for!!! Imagine that!

…for God, for my King – Jesus Christ – human life is way too precious to be simply lost to death.

If you ever feel that you are not worth anything for whatever crazy reason the devil has born inside your head, please snap out of it NOW. The King of the world died so that you, His child, may have life. He did not die out of coercion. He did not die out of fear (that would be very weird!) He did not die out of any other reason besides LOVE.

John 3:12-17

“If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
